Repairing your garage floor

Information about garage floor repair

How often do you have to repair pits or potholes in your own garage? Maybe they are not too severe, but it is a good amount of work anyway. How would you like to not have to worry about this so much, and also add a stylish flare to your garage? This can be achieved by sealing, painting, or even tiling your garage floor. Any of these options will protect your floor for almost anything that salted roads or oil stains can dish out.

A common choice for protecting your garage floor is plastic tiles. Though they are a bit tricky, they can be a do-it-your—self-job, if you’re willing to put some work into it. If you want to make sure that they’re perfectly installed, the way to go is probably professional installation. Not only will these protect your floor and stand up to traffic, but they can add color to a room which has been called “the dungeon” by some families.

Latex garage floor paints, though some would argue they don’t provide the same protection as floor tiles, are less expensive and rather easy to apply. After a good thorough cleaning, just paint the floor with a good solid coat and the paint will adhere to the surface and create a protective seal against oil or salt.
